Playtesting is obviously an important part of game development. While you can sit and determine many outcomes in your head, until you deal the cards and start to play, you simply cannot see all ends. Our latest game, Follow Me If You Can in our new Mackinac Island Treasure Hunt: Nature Card Games, was play tested many times, yet once we started playing with more players, things changed quite a bit. It is a quite balanced game, so you may play to a draw or two until you realize that you really need to be aggressive to end with a decisive win.
We also discovered a couple of minor things that can really change the game.
So, though we recently ran 100 copies that we hope to soon have for sale, we are publishing a new documentation page with some minor changes that should help.
All that said, we invite you to make up your own rules, or tweak or clarify ours, in order to make your Mackinac Island Treasure Hunt the best it can be!
